book launch video



a short video this guy took at the book thing at Printed Matter. if i look freaked out it's because i was freaked out. the great Christopher Wool's in it, and if you look closely you can see the lovely Nick (NB) in the background, and PM's own, incredibly sweet James.

orestes, thank you! if you order the book from 38th street here then it will absolutely include my illustrations. the previous edition of voidoid is out of print, but can be found here and there on amazon and ebay i think.

Well done for getting that gig...as a longtime RHell fan I shall be ordering this ASAP. I have put up the viseo and a link to yr blog and flickr pages at my blog, but should you be interested I have also put up a drawing of Mr Hell that I did sometime in the very early 80's and it can be found here.

mona, thanks a lot! i hope the book does it for you. your drawing is great, especially his face/grimace. i used that same lyric in a comic i just did, it'll probably end up on the blog in not too long. x

Thank you so much for the kind words...that opening verse of 'Blank Generation' always appealed to me...

Oh I shall, I was just going thru one of my downturns but i used to comment a bit and Dennis and i actually go back as far as Amsterdam together (tho we never met, but I was two people between him and Burroughs when some madman smashed a glass door in the Melkweg covering DC and WSB w broken glass, we also have some mutual friends in London and his kind words about my blog can be found somewhere on it...so maybe I will just have to delurk a bit more and shake off the...
I do like yr blog and will be adding it to list soon...I just have to run and play with my 2 year old OK!!!

tim, i wrote richard through his website when i was eighteen, asking for an interview for my zine. he said yes, and liked the zine, so that's how i got to know him and he saw my art. i don't have a facebook, no, sorry. see you around! x
