I had a dream where I lived where I live now, though the city was a little different. For most of the dream, I was in my room and someone who wanted to harm or kill me was outside my door, so I had to keep it locked. I'm pretty sure it was a vampire, something like David Boreanaz's Angel character in the second season of Buffy when he goes bad, but he looked much more horrifying. We knew each other somehow, and he wanted to take something from me. It was different things throughout the dream, but at one point I put some drugs and some vials of blood in a jar that i hid out on my windowsill, where you couldn't see it from the window. I remember thinking I couldn't get it back before the sun went down, as I was a vampire too, and though sunlight wouldn't kill me, it wasn't very comfortable. Sometimes I tried to open the door to see if he was gone, and ended up having to physically block him from coming in the door. Since I couldn't leave my room I had to piss in a bucket or a tray or something.
At one point in the dream, Anja was visiting me, and we had been somewhere and were on the bus. I was going to get off at my house, and she was continuing on to the train station to go home. As the bus drove past my house I saw there was a man sitting outside the entrance and got terrified because I thought he was a vampire who was after me. I told Anja how scared I was, and decided not to get off the bus. Then I realised it was light outside and it wasn't likely there would be any vampires around then, so I got off at the bus stop after mine, thinking as long as I got to my room before dark I would be okay. For some reason it took a long time to get to my house and by the time I was getting there it was already dark. That's all I can remember.

Wow, this is a really creepy and interesting dream. I really like it, well reading about it, but it seems like it would be frightening to experience. So atmospheric. Who do you think that figure is, 'the vampire'? Please share more dreams if you'd like. I enjoyed reading this one, this kind of stuff totally makes life worth living.
Oh yeah, and thanks for your comments, fuck yeah.
And, I'm glad you liked the birds comic. I'll definitely post more of those as I do or find my older ones. I wrote one today so maybe I'll get a chance to draw and color it.
I also really liked your drawings you did for your friend. And the continuing GBV titles, I think that kind of stuff is really cool and inspiring, working like that, recontextualizing, or as you put it 'stealing'. I was thinking about that this morning, about peoples work that I like and how much of it functions or uses that kind of thing...
i know i was pretty terrified at times during the dream, but maybe because i didn't wake up during it i didn't think of it as a nightmare. but it was good, interesting material in it. i'm not sure what the vampire character represented, but it could be that i'm moving out soon and really looking forward to it, and i've started to hate the place i live and the people. so something mundane like that turned into something a lot more interesting.
